Towns at The Barfly. There were three acts that performed that night and only the opening act stood out.
Brit-Pop choruses and the disorientated Dream-Pop guitars - Definitely a must see!

SWIM DEEP = A waste of a night.

SWIM DEEP at The Old Blue Last. Don't know why i turned up to be honest. And whats the deal with all this SurfRock?? I mean it's good here and there, but c'mon... English bands need to stop with all this California shit.

McCarthy Vigil

A few night back i had the pleasure of meeting the vocalist/guitarist Andrew from McCarthy Vigil. At the moment he's in his last year studying Geography in London - I laughed. After a few beers and one or two ales it was time to departy from the pub and head off back to his. During the peaceful smoke he showed me this song which he had recently recorded a few months back. It instantly stood out - folk/soft rock that is very pleasing to the ear. Good riff, leg twitching rhythm and insane percussion. It's a shame that his other band mates enjoy being stuck in the small quiet life of Barnsley. Would love to help them out.
